Bev Shots microscopic art wrok.

In 1992 scientist Michael Davidsonhe took photographs under the microscope of a collection of items - DNA, biochemicals and vitamins. Until approached by businesses for possible commercial opportunities. I loved the images bev shots create are made by first crystallizing the drink of choice on a lab slide. Using a standard light microscope with a camera attached, the light source is polarized and passed through the crystal. The colours and amazing abstract shapes and complex repeating patterns are really intriguing. These inspire me to look into using a microscope and see if the microscopic slides available in the universities science labs have similar interesting colours and structures.
