Earlier Art Work.

Here you’ll find all my previous work I created for a series of projects in High School I really enjoyed doing these as they were fun and it was really cool to see my work in exhibits in local galleries.

This is one of my earliest pieces of work I was asked as part of a group of students to create a piece that answered a question we all chose which one we would like to answer through our work I chose: Is peer pressure still happening? I know now I could do a lot better but for my age at the time I was so happy with this pencil drawing I created for the competition and was overwhelmed when it was chosen to be part of the exhibition at the Liverpool Tate Gallery.

This is my favourite early work it was a project run through a local college and the aim was to be as creative and imaginative with this new technique of trapping objects using wax. We had to link the pieces to something we loved I chose my family and friends. Then all of our finished works where displayed in the local art gallery Drumcroon in Wigan. I loved the way they where all exhibited together hung and lit from behind which really worked well with the use of wax.
The reverse side of my piece.

I really liked the reverse side of my piece as I had the negative and hen the bright, bold colours of the front of my piece coming through the shapes I had cut out.

Detailing on piece.
We were given a massive stash of different materials to use and told to be imaginative by collecting some from home to use. I really enjoyed collecting the materials and then trying to think of compositions and how I would incorporate each object into my piece. I started to stitch into the piece on the sewing machine to create the look of a map as I was creating a journey throughout my piece.

I used family photographs to collage into the piece.

Me and my piece on exhibition opening night!
